Abstract

One of the main activities for the hydrological design is the determination of the storm (or storms) what is used. A most common way to do this consists on using a design storm or an event that it involves a relationship among the appropriate rain intensity, duration and frequencies (i-d-f curves) for the work to carry out, taking into account the place where the same one is located as well. These relationships present the rain intensity variation with different durations for each periods of return. To obtain this family of curves it is required pluviograph information which is scare or with short records. In this work the determination of the intensity-duration-frequency curves for two stations located in the Litoral Region of Argentina is presented. These ones are located in Santa Fe city (Facultad de Ingeniería y Ciencias Hídricas-El Pozo, Santa Fe province) and Chapetón (Entre Ríos province).
