The methodology and results of the regionalization of maximum rainfall in the province of Entre Ríosare described. The criteria for selecting the representative stations, performingthe statistical fitting andrainfall maps for different return periods and durations fromone to four daysare discussed. The Akaike information criterion and the mean square errorsin the variable and the frequency are used to select the best local and regional statistical distribution. Maps using GEVdistribution and Index Flood methodare presented. The i-d-Trelationshipsarelinked with the results of regionalization to estimate designintensities for durations of less than a day in areas withoutrainfallmeasurements.Theresults are compared with those resulting from apply-ing a second methodology of regionalization based on L-moments.The results of applying the Pilgrim meth-od for estimating the temporal distribution pattern of intensestormsare shown. The software tools developed both for display as for the calculation of design storms in any geographic coordinate in the province are pre-sented.
