Resistencia al flujo en grandes ríos aluviales de llanura: caso de estudio río Paraná tramo km 421-422

Resumen

Se presenta el análisis de 32 perfiles longitudinales del lecho del río Paraná, observados en el tramo km 421-422. Se contabilizaron un total de 237 dunas, de las cuales: el 71% tienen una altura comprendida entre 2.2 m y 4.2 m; el 70% una longitud entre 110 m y 210 m; el 71% una relación altura/longitud entre 0.017 y 0.033. La pendiente media aguas abajo de la cresta varió entre 0.04 y 0.10 para el 77% de las dunas y para un 8.3% de las dunas dicha pendiente varió entre 0.12 y 0.16. El valor promedio de la relación entre la profundidad media de flujo en la sección transversal y la altura de duna media fue igual a 6.8. La relación altura/longitud de dunas medias muestra una ligera tendencia a disminuir con los caudales más altos y con las mayores tensiones de corte adimensional total. El predictor de resistencia al flujo desarrollado fue aplicado en diversos ríos utilizando un total de 285 datos hidráulicos, sedimentológicos y morfológicos. La relación entre velocidad de flujo calculada y observada varió entre 0.8 y 1.2 para el 77.2% del total de datos utilizados. Asimismo, el predictor fue aplicado para construir la relación entre el nivel hidrométrico y el caudal en el km 421.5 del río Paraná, la cual fue contrastada con datos observados y, sucesivamente, fue aplicada para reconstruir los caudales de las crecidas ocurridas en 1982/83, 1997/98 y 2009/10.
